Useful Information

Sailing requirements: None! Beginners and experienced sailors all welcome.

You can relax and watch or join in on the trimming the sails, steering the boat, pulling on the winches and scrubbing the deck. Your skipper is always happy to show you the ropes and de mystify the jargon.

RYA Day and Coastal Skippers will enjoy the challenge of the bigger boat and the thoroughbred feel of the helm. Mooring stern-to in a strange and crowded port with the usual crowd of spectators giving helpful advice can be a daunting exercise but Julian will always be there to make sure all goes well in the end and explain anchoring techniques and hopefully unravel some of the mysteries of fathoms, chains and warps to those who wish to know.

Absolute beginners will be surprised how much you can pick up in a short space of time when living aboard and sailing each day. Young and old will soon find themselves encouraged to helm the boat and enjoy the experience.

But it's your holiday, so if you just want to soak up the rays and enjoy the scenery, that's fine too.

Insurance: We do not provide travel insurance. You should arrange to take out fully comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking to cover all risks and cancellation.

Safety: Safety is always important on board and we carry all necessary equipment.

Meals: Breakfast and lunch are available on the boat and are included in the cost of your holiday, (when taken aboard), with evening meals taken ashore at a local taverna of your choice.

What To Bring: Bed linen, pillows and sleeping bags are provided on the boat but please bring your own towels. Although usually no shoes are worn on the boat, do bring a pair of soft sailing shoes if you prefer. You should also bring a soft bag for your bits and clothes. No "Samsonite" suitcases please, as they are too large to fit in the boat's lockers and can damage the wood.

The Greek sun can be deceptively strong so please also be sure to bring a high factor sun cream and a suitable hat.
